SRA - "Working for the Community"

Selsdon is a leafy suburb in the south of Croydon and borders the Green Belt. Residents have easy access to green spaces, great transport links, a high life expectancy and a low crime rate.

This site, run by the SRA, will tell you more about our area, our community, our history and other useful information. Please see 'About the SRA' to find details of who we are, what we do, how you can get involved or how to contact us.  As well as this website, we also have a Facebook page 'Selsdon Residents' Association', a Twitter feed '@selsdonresassoc ' and a monthly printed newsletter 'The Selsdon Gazette'which contains great articles and local stories. We also have local noticeboards around Selsdon containing news of current events.

Council electoral boundary changes

From May 2018 Croydon Council changed the electoral boundaries.  Our existing Selsdon membership is now split over three different Council Wards. For more information on the background, the effect of the changes, a detailed list of roads and the SRA’s response please click here. In summary the SRA will continue to represent the whole of Selsdon and will consult with all relevant Councillors and other neighbouring Residential areas to ensure our combined views are heard.

For the next week or so, our local bus routes 64 & 433 will again be dogged by temporary lights on Croham Valley Road near the new developments - go carefully, all

Thanks to all those who have displayed a scarecrow to make Selsdon a more cheerful place! We will publish details of the winner in the July Gazette.

1926-2021 - The SRA is 95 years old! Still going strong with your help.

High Street greenery - At various times you may see our members working to improve our green areas of the high street – planting or watering etc. If you would like to help, we’d love to hear from you!

As you know we still need money each year to fund the SRA activities. Annual household membership payable in June is £5. Any additional donations will fund the Christmas lights on the high street. We now offer Online banking or payment by standing order and we also still take cash. Go to the ‘About the SRA’ page for the details.

The Selsdon Residents' Association has now gratefully received the first payment of donations from Easyfunding. It's not too soon to think of helping our Christmas lights fund when you are shopping online - especially as booking just a three day break away can bring us £12!

We fundraise each year for our ‘across-the-street’ lights. We welcome donations at any time but a cost-free method to help is via ‘easyfundraising’.

Please use the above link to join Easyfundraising and support 'Selsdon Christmas lights' whenever you buy something online from a participating trader. This will not cost you any extra on your bill.
